The trail is within southeastern Washington of Mount St. Helens and north of the Swift Reservoir inside Gifford Pinchot National Forest from the Skamania County. This journey takes 10.8 miles and less than an hour or so to traverse. The trail offers some spectacular views with the Cascade Range volcanoes near Mount St. Helens and the magnificent scenery 35 miles for the east available from the Mt. Adams. The street grade is easy because it passes through gravel to loose rock roads which has a narrow turnaround spot at the end. It is usually recommended to employ a 4 wheel drive vehicle which has a high ground clearance.

To access the trail start, drive on the west tip of Swift Reservoir and take the paved road 83 around the northeast. Go straight to the Marble Mountain Snow Park where the trailhead is. Then make one-lane gravel road which forks off east at our right. There are no rest stops on this short drive trail as it is just easier than you think to navigate and finish.

Move past a gate and hang up on Road 8312 which heads directly onto the look at Mt. Adams. This mountain may be the second highest peak in Washington by having an elevation of 12,276 feet and is also the third highest within the Cascade Range. Through the snow park and around 1.9 miles, the trail reaches Mount St. Helens which consists of magnificent landscape. You will get to determine some excellent views in the volcano since the road results in a steep climb for the slopes of Marble Mountain.
